I started this site to start writing down some useful (and good) information related to webmastering and full stack development in these modern times.

As time goes on, I’ve noticed that the quality of information on serious topics of web development and web server administration have really gone down hill.

I attribute this to a couple of things…

One, there are far fewer people actually practicing the profession these days. With the advent of cloud everything, a lot of the grunt work of getting a website speaking to the internet have been outsourced to a few dozen companies. I think that the state of the art stays under lock and key with them.

Two, since Stack Overflow, bless its soul, has taken over most of the knowledgebase of software development, it has degraded over time and too much less than expert level information ends up taking primacy thanks to search algorithms.

It’s actually shocking to me how lame certain answers are that get top placing on google, despite only having a handful of upvotes on SO, just because they are worded better…

In any case, I want to document some of my discoveries, hard earned through research, trial and error, and tested against the burden of operating a software system upon which an entire company rests and millions of dollars flow. Hopefully a few other people like me find this useful and it will have had some meaning.
